There are positive signs that the metalworking industry is gaining momentum. In looking at the activity coming through the paid search campaigns we’re running for our clients this year, there has been almost a 100% increase inquiries in September over the previous months.
Now, after the just the first week in October, we have almost already matched the total of September’s volume of online form submissions and inbound phone calls. This is a clear sign that more manufacturing engineers, job shop owners and purchasing decision makers across the country are actively researching tooling and machine purchases and making contact with suppliers.
As someone who actively monitors these programs, the month over month activity is promising. While we don’t expect the recovery will happen quickly, it’s reassuring to see manufacturing professionals gearing up for and planning new production – and these measurable programs enable us to track how they’re going online looking for new equipment and technology to support their efforts.
